I was excited to use these diapers for traveling purposes, (because it would be harder to deal with our cloth diapers.) However, they were a huge disappointment.
My daughter was within the weight range (7 pounds and 1 ounce when we left the hospital.) I ended up having to use disposables all the time until she gained some weight because the BumGenius all-in-one diapers we bought don't fit until the baby is over 8 pounds. (So the website says, but in our personal experience, they didn't really fit well until she was closer to 10 pounds. Maybe she just has a tiny bum?)
First of all, these Seventh Generation diapers are just flat-out ugly.
Second, they looked like they were uncomfortable on our DD, because they were straight on the edges, rather than slightly curved in for the legs like the Pampers Swaddlers we ended up using. (We are still very happy with the Swaddlers and use them at night or whenever DD has a diaper rash.)
Finally, they are not very absorbent at all. Not only did we have many "blow-outs" at night, but during the daytime, they would sometimes overflow between feedings! I would change her before or mid-way through a feeding, and then change her again before or mid-way through the next feeding which was often 2 hours later or less.
To me, a disposable that can't even make it 2 hours without overflowing and doesn't really fit your newborn well is not worth your time or money. Natural Choice worked better, but those still didn't perform as well as the Pampers Swaddlers or our BumGenius diapers.

I'm a huge fan of 7th generation diapers...past the newborn size. We use 7th Generation for our 2 year old and have since he was about seven months old and have loved them. I was a bit disappointed when we bought the newborn size for our second son. The fit was awful. I felt like the diaper was the shape of a brick and didn't conform to his body. They leaked each time we used them. I made the mistake of buying in bulk and ended up giving the diapers away and going with Huggies until he fit into a size one. We are now using size one 7th generation diapers and are much happier.

There is such thing as a "newborn" size of seventh generation diapers available. These other reviews are very misleading as they are putting there newborn child who is under the weight limit in larger diaper.

I was excited to have a greener option to the mainstream brands, but we disappointed with the feel. Compared to the Pampers we got from the hospital, these diapers are much courser and harsher and actually chafed my newborn's thighs. My baby is a bit on the small side (~5.5 lbs), so I'm going to try them again after she gains some weight, but so far I'm not happy with these.

Very good diapers but a bit smaller than most diapers for newborn. Make sure you try one pack first to see how diaper fits your baby before buying in bulk.
